Three parts of the exhibition are displayed in the outdoor area behind the building at Ihnestraße 22. The area can be reached via Harnackstraße where you will also find a free car park. The outdoor parts of the exhibition spaces are accessible for wheelchair users and people with walking aids.
Barrier-free access to the exhibition in the main building at Ihnestraße 22 is available from the outdoor area behind the building. The wheelchair ramp has a gradient of 6 degrees, in accordance with the DIN 18040-1.
Visitors can use the ramp for direct access to one of the starting points of the exhibition which is located in the basement. Another possible starting point, only accessible via the stairs, is on the ground floor behind the main entrance.
The exhibition is displayed across four floors with a total of twelve exhibition points. Each floor is accessible via a lift. The lift can carry up to 500 kg and has a door width of 80 cm, the width inside the lift car is approx. 90 cm and the depth inside the lift car is 150 cm.
A toilet suitable for wheelchair users is located in the basement.
The exhibition texts and exhibits are positioned at an average viewing height of 130 cm, allowing them to be read by wheelchair users.
